Why tea parties? Tea parties allow us to exercise the first amendment of our constitution, freedom of speech. Our founding fathers felt it imperative for the people of America to be heard, not silenced by government. Tea Parties have created a platform where whispers become a roars too loud to ignore.
Tea Parties have created a grassroots platform which give Americans a chance to protest irresponsible, out of control government and liberal agendas of the White House and Congress.
“A government big enough to give you everything you want, is strong enough to take everything you have”. Thomas Jefferson
Two things the Founding Fathers understood…
Other than voting, I have never gotten involved in any type of political action. Now, I’m mad as hell and not going to stand silent any more. Our founding fathers understood two things when they set the groundwork for our society. First, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the ideal which should not be sacrificed for anyone or anything. Second, they understood as students of European history that government is a necessary evil that must be kept on a tight leash. Our government has gotten away from us and bitten the hands that feed it. Band together and keep up the fight! Posted by Method, March 18, 2009
