Two Things the Founders Understood
Posted by Method Man, March 18, 2009 at 3:18 pm
Other than voting I have never gotten involved in any type of political action. Now, I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore! I believe our founding fathers understood two things when they set the groundwork for our society. First, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the ideals that should not be sacrificed for anyone or anything (including people who make poor financial decisions and earmarks that benefit our communities). Without the three aforementioned imperatives, secured for all legal citizens, our country will continue to slouch towards irrelevance. Second, they knew that government was a necessary evil that must be kept on a tight leash. Our government has gotten away from us, we the people, and it has bitten the hands that feed it. Now is the time for a choke chain! (I’m sure the PETA people will love that). You guys inspire me. Keep up the fight!
We the People March on Washington
Posted by Neal, March 18, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Hi,
My name is Neal. I am a 65 year old male American citizen who is still working a full-time job. I had planned to retire next year at age 66, but I have now lost 60% of the money I saved for retirement. At retirement I had planned to sell our current house, which has a mortgage, and buy a smaller one which would be paid for. That house has now lost value to the point this will not work.
I have NO resources to contribute other than my strong desire to assist, but I want to help organize and participate in a “We The People March on the Capital”. We should gather 3+million (or more) folks to surround the white house and capital building and demand a stop to this CRAP.
Nearing the Last Straw!!!

Fellow Patriots!
Well, the current administration is now going to disarm commercial pilots (my son is a pilot and I personally resent this in behalf of all pilots) so they can’t protect themselves and all airline passengers from another 9/11 similar attack– “you know who” announced today that he is not going to let commercial pilots carry firearms onboard anymore. I don’t know about you, but I have to agree with Hillary Clinton during her campaign when she said she had serious concerns about “you know who’s” judgment. Between his announcement that he is now going to make veterans pay for their healthcare, his excessive spending, incompetence, bailouts, Nancy Pelosi, and the other mouseketeer (Harry Reid), and of course, one of our favorites, Tim Geithner,
this has gotten way out of control!!!!!!!!!!!! Unite, Patriots, we need to take our country back and stand together against this “NONSENSE”!! JOIN YOUR LOCAL TEA PARTY ON APRIL 15th!

Well, well, Pequot and Paladin (2 large Hedge Funds) were paying off NY government officials for funds to manage NYS Pension funds and one of the executives now works for Obama’s financial bailout blue print. Hmmmm, big business and big government….hmmm, works really well. How about this, let’s create a TARP program and let’s use taxpayer money (really we’re just printing it) and let’s pull those ‘toxic assets’ off the bank balance sheets; then let’s create a way to liquidate those assets through chosen Money Managers (aka Hedge Funds, Private Partnerships, and other businesses you and I couldn’t participate in) who can then buy those assets (secretly – private auctions) for pennies on the dollar. Hmmmm, and you wonder why people are marching on government all around the country.

Some of the commenters on here need to do some fact checking. The proposal to have Vets pay for their health care with their own private insurance was dropped last month by the white house. Read here.
