HOW DID JEFFERSON KNOW?

Quotes from Thomas Jefferson…

“When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe”

“The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

“It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes. A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.”

“I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.”

“My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.”

“No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.”

“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government.”

“The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

“To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.”

“I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property - until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered.” (1802)

Where?
Harold’s Restaurant - Cave Creek, Arizona

When?
Sunday, April 19th, 3PM

Why Sunday the 19th instead of the 15th? We want to hold a weekend tea party for those who may not be able to make it on the 15th - a work day for most hardworking Americans!

How you can help?

America needs your help and support to make the Cave Creek Tea Party a success. We need you to speak to friends, family, and co-workers to let them know how important it is to join with others who are concerned and alarmed about the uncontrolled spending and staggering national debt that’s being incurred. It is not too late. The Democrat leadership will be asking for more and they have the votes to pass it through unless we speak up now. We are asking you to help us and also to motivate others to get involved.

Be sure to attend the rally - Bring your friends, family and kids - bring the whole neighborhood.

Let your voice be heard - Make a sign to express your concerns about irresponsible government waste, spending, debt and taxation.

There are a number of things you can do:

Help with printing and posting of flyers and posters.

Contact and speak to interested groups.

Help prepare signs and placards (weekend before rally).

Create a local website.

Offer your talents, creativity, and personal connections.

Assist with equipment and set-up for Tea Party rally.

Get and stay informed about what is happening.

Join a local conservative organization and stay involved.

Make your signs appropriate, without offensive messages or vulgarity. The theme of the protest we want to stress is for our elected officials to stop the wasteful spending, stop the bailouts, no more stimulus packages, and no more taxes, of any kind.

In addition to signs, rally goers can bring tea bags (used or new) and symbolically “dump them overboard”.

Lastly, Tea Partiers are encouraged to bring their American flag, large or small, to show their loyalty and love for our great nation.

A national grassroots collaborative effort that gives Americans a chance to protest the irresponsible and out of control government spending, and to voice their disapproval of the liberal agenda of the White House and Congress.

Our country is moving quickly in the wrong direction and we must stand up NOW to preserve our American ideals, our Freedom and Liberty. That is truly what is at stake.

Tea Party’s are being organized all across the nation, in major cities and small towns, to protest the continued waste of our hard-earned tax dollars on bailouts, giveaways, and political earmarks. Our country faces a grave danger. Our elected officials in Washington are leading us down an unwise path.

The liberals have had the soapbox for far too long while so many conservatives have been complacent, apathetic, and too quiet. Our voice of opposition must be raised to counteract the predominant voice of the extreme left that we are fed by the mainstream media. By standing up, we will encourage and energize other conservatives who have remained quiet. The conservative voice must be raised and we must speak loudly enough to be heard in Washington, D.C.

We expect the government to act responsibly and to do as American families must do when money is tight. We cut back, find ways to reduce expenses, stop charging and running up our debt. That’s what our government should be doing.

We expect the federal government to stop the earmarks and pork-barrel spending, stop the Cap and Trade, which is a complete sham that will further harm the economy and raise the cost of virtually everything produced in America, and don’t raise taxes, but encourage investment and hiring.

In addition, if our elected officials, state and federal, want to reduce costs, then how about admitting what it is costing each taxpayer for housing, education, and health care of immigrants who have entered this country illegally, not to mention the millions of jobs Americans are denied, or the billions of dollars that are sent to Mexico and leave our own economy. It’s unjustifiable and must stop; and can.

People in hundreds of cities and towns across the country are joining together to protest the obscene bailouts, wasteful spending, earmarks, and “porky little projects” that our government is passing through with little deliberation and no accountability or transparency. And, promising more to come. This spending is putting our nation into staggering debt and creating a crippling bill that our children and grandchildren will be forced to pay.

It’s time for all who care about the direction of our country to stand up for the future of America and let our voices be clearly heard - Silent Majority No More!

Other than voting I have never gotten involved in any type of political action. Now, I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore! I believe our founding fathers understood two things when they set the groundwork for our society. First, life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are the ideals that should not be sacrificed for anyone or anything (including people who make poor financial decisions and earmarks that benefit our communities). Without the three aforementioned imperatives, secured for all legal citizens, our country will continue to slouch towards irrelevance. Second, they knew that government was a necessary evil that must be kept on a tight leash. Our government has gotten away from us, we the people, and it has bitten the hands that feed it. Now is the time for a choke chain! (I’m sure the PETA people will love that). You guys inspire me. Keep up the fight!

We the People March on Washington
Posted by Neal, March 18, 2009 at 9:02 pm
Hi,
My name is Neal. I am a 65 year old male American citizen who is still working a full-time job. I had planned to retire next year at age 66, but I have now lost 60% of the money I saved for retirement. At retirement I had planned to sell our current house, which has a mortgage, and buy a smaller one which would be paid for. That house has now lost value to the point this will not work.

I have NO resources to contribute other than my strong desire to assist, but I want to help organize and participate in a “We The People March on the Capital”. We should gather 3+million (or more) folks to surround the white house and capital building and demand a stop to this CRAP.

Nearing the Last Straw!!!
Fellow Patriots!
Well, the current administration is now going to disarm commercial pilots (my son is a pilot and I personally resent this in behalf of all pilots) so they can’t protect themselves and all airline passengers from another 9/11 similar attack– “you know who” announced today that he is not going to let commercial pilots carry firearms onboard anymore. I don’t know about you, but I have to agree with Hillary Clinton during her campaign when she said she had serious concerns about “you know who’s” judgment. Between his announcement that he is now going to make veterans pay for their healthcare, his excessive spending, incompetence, bailouts, Nancy Pelosi, and the other mouseketeer (Harry Reid), and of course, one of our favorites, Tim Geithner,
this has gotten way out of control!!!!!!!!!!!! Unite, Patriots, we need to take our country back and stand together against this “NONSENSE”!! JOIN YOUR LOCAL TEA PARTY ON APRIL 15th!
